The Location

Lepton is a family village outside Huddersfield, a busy University town, with great links to the M1 and M62. The countryside and views are beautiful.

The Church Building

The church and attached hall are all in really good condition, with a dedicated and skilled working party that meet weekly.  We even have a new boiler!

The People

We’ve got a lovely congregation, talented and active lay people, two churchwardens and a robust PCC.

The Challenge

Are you the right person to continue building on the community links and most importantly, lead us in spiritual growth?

We are a friendly, traditional yet relaxed village church, using contemporary liturgy and a mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs.

We are looking for someone with a passion for spiritual growth.

What can you expect from us?  Support, prayer, practical help, talents and tea.  Or curry and a beer, whatever floats your boat!

The people in Lepton are hard-working and keen to support you.  We have a strong belief in lay involvement – members offer time and talents in many key areas including preaching, leading worship, reading and praying in church, pastoral care, children’s work, music, upkeep of the building, flower arranging & visual decorations, charities group, house groups and prayer group, Mothers’ Union, producing the parish magazine, arranging and promoting social events and much more.
